About codescriet
codescriet (also written as code.scriet) is the official coding and developer community at SCRIET, Sir Chhotu Ram Institute of Engineering and Technology, a constituent college of Chaudhary Charan Singh University in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, India. The club was founded by undergraduate students who wanted a structured space to learn data structures and algorithms, build real projects, prepare for placements, and connect with alumni working in the wider software industry.
Our activities span four pillars. The DSA and competitive programming pillar runs weekly practice sessions, monthly contests on the codescriet judge, and travel teams for ICPC regional rounds. The web and product pillar ships internal tools — including this website, the live quiz platform, the certificate generator, and the public coding playground at code.codescriet.dev — using React, TypeScript, Node, Prisma, and PostgreSQL. The community pillar maintains a verified network of alumni, industry guests, and mentors who run sessions, judge events, and help current students with referrals and interviews. The recognition pillar issues digital certificates for events and competitions, maintains a public achievements registry, and credits every contributor in our public credits page.
Every student of CCSU is welcome, and most events are open to outside participants as well. Recruitment for the core team happens through a structured Join Us flow with technical, DSA, design, social-media, and management tracks. To get involved, browse the events listing, register for an upcoming session, apply through Join Us, or reach out via the contact page.
